about me

Touch of Tulip is my virtual studio. I am based in New York, mostly.

Over a period of 15 years, I lived in various cities in Europe and worked in corporate events management and the film festival industry. In between projects I worked as a copyeditor and proofreader for a diverse set of clients, ranging from Morgan Stanley to the House of Commons.

After having traveled extensively to the Middle East and North Africa in the 1990s, I took on a 3‒month position with Oxfam‒GB in Jerusalem in 2000. The following year, I moved to New York to study the Near East at New York University. I then worked in communications and outreach for a refugee rights organization for three years. It was here that I developed an interest in web design and content management.

I am a versatile web producer with a diverse background and a passion for cyberspace. I often spend as much time reading online content as dissecting a site's source code.

I love reading, both print and online, and I have an eye for the smallest of details. I can pick up an italicized period at the end of a non‒italicized sentence, and spelling, grammar, and word usage errors as well!

I am currently available for web and print projects, so get in touch !
